Evan Walsh is a freelance trumpet player, teaching artist, and music contractor in Southern California. Evan is a Yamaha Young Performing Artist honoree, studied trumpet as a Cole Scholar at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University Long Beach, and holds a degree in music business from Full Sail University. Evan was a founding performer for Future Session Players Clinic at the Sony Scoring Stage and has performed with the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra, Young Artist Symphony Orchestra, American Youth Symphony, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, the Palisades Symphony, and the Southern California Brass Consortium. In the pit, Evan has performed with San Diego Musical Theatre, Lamb's Players Theatre, and Moonlight Stage Productions. He performs regularly for Disneyland, The San Diego Zoo, and SeaWorld San Diego. In addition to performing, Evan is also a Teaching Artist for San Marcos High School and Ada Harris Elementary. He has also taught music regularly for the Young Musicians Foundation, Mission Bay Montessori Academy, Anaheim City School District, Arcadia Unified School District, San Diego Unified and the Los Angeles Unified School District. Evan has contracted music for various events throughout Southern CA including productions for multiple United States Speakers of the House, Fairwinds Ivey Ranch, weddings, and corporate events throughout Southern CA. Evan has recorded for film composer Paul Buckley and can be heard and seen performing live on TV for Apple ads, Old Navy ads, Disney Christmas specials, HBO’s Deadwood the Movie, HBO’s Westworld, and multiple upcoming film releases with NBCUniversal.
